Individuals who successfully earn the OneStream Certified Associate (OCA) – Implementation Foundations credential can perform basic project tasks such as building basic reports, updating metadata, using the grid view tool to apply workflow settings, and uploading data. They are knowledgeable in basic accounting and/or finance principles, have a general understanding of CPM principles, and are ready to be staffed on their first project.
The OneStream Certified Associate (OCA) – Implementation Foundations Beta Exam Study Guide is a way to learn more about how to prepare for the exam.
OneStream follows a rigorous process aligned with high stakes psychometric guidelines to develop valid, reliable, and fair exams resulting in industry-recognized credentials. Prior to releasing a certification exam, OneStream will offer exams during a “try-out” or Beta period. These Beta exams are open for a short period of time, typically 2-3 weeks, with a goal of having 100 or more participants complete the exam. Beta exams are used to collect data on the performance of the exam items. The statistical results of the exam items’ performance, along with the candidates’ comments and feedback, assist OneStream in selecting effective exam items to build and release the production exam, which is the final version of the exam.
Using the raw data from the Beta exam, the Beta participants are scored on the new final production exam. If a candidate passes a Beta exam, he or she will become OneStream Certified.
Due to the time required to conduct psychometric analysis, pass/fail results from the Beta exam are unavailable until approximately eight weeks after the Beta close date. Candidates will receive an automated email notification from CertMetrics once their Beta exam results are available.
Beta exams are typically offered either for free or at a significant discount because they are longer than production exams and require psychometric analysis before establishing pass/fail results. The OneStream Certified Associate Implementation Foundations Beta exam phase will take place for three weeks beginning June 14th and concluding July 3rd, 2023.
