OneStream Digital Credentials give you a Competitive Edge

What are Digital Credentials and Badges?

Upon successfully passing a OneStream certification exam or earning a OneStream micro credential, let the world know about your achievement! OneStream has partnered with Credly to use their badging system to award digital, shareable credentials.

The badges are online representations of your accomplishments providing earners increased value by enabling interested parties to view, verify, and discover the qualifications you have achieved – in just one click. Each credential consists of an image and metadata uniquely linked to you and that verifies your knowledge and skills in a way that is trusted and verifiable. When someone, such as manager, prospective customer, or recruiter, clicks on your badge, they will be directed to an overview page providing them metadata on your qualifications and specialized skills, as well as the process you completed to earn and maintain the credential. This additional layer of content helps you more fully explain your capabilities and high-level achievements.

The OneStream digital credential program is an excellent way to display high-level accomplishments and major milestones achieved on your road to professional development. Your OneStream digital credentials empower you to:

  1. Easily share your certification accomplishments with your professional network.
  2. Discover employers who are looking for individuals with your skills.
  3. Search for new opportunities and learn the salary that is commensurate with your OneStream skills.

Did you know that people who post certification credentials on their LinkedIn profiles are viewed 6 times more?! Not only that, but displaying your OneStream certification credentials on LinkedIn allows you to get recognized by prospective customers and employers. It’s proof that you are technically competent and industry credible.

Certification Levels

The OneStream Certification Program will be organized by four levels of certifications:

  • Level 1: OneStream Certified Associate (OCA)
  • Level 2: OneStream Certified Professional (OCP)
  • Level 3: OneStream Certified Specialist (OCS)
  • Level 4: OneStream Certified Master (OCM)

Successfully completing exams categorized into these four levels results in the issuance of a shareable digital credential that is valid for 24 months from the date of the certification.

Delayed Scoring

OneStream certification holders are highly valued IT professionals. Customers, partners, colleagues, and employers are confident that OneStream certification holders have the knowledge and expertise to effectively administer, architect, or provide consulting services on OneStream products. Protecting this value benefits you, as well as OneStream. As a result, OneStream will not provide an exam score immediately upon completing an exam. Candidates will have to wait 2 to 3 business days before finding out their certification status. During this period of time, OneStream will investigate exam results for statistical anomalies and evidence of exam fraud. Ensuring the accuracy of exam results certifies accurate predictions of candidate competence, as well as provides assurance that no candidate is entitled to an unfair advantage in scoring.

You invest a considerable amount of time, expense, and expertise to prepare for and complete a OneStream technical exam, which is undermined by those who engage in exam misconduct. Exam misconduct enables less qualified individuals to compete for the jobs and benefits YOU deserve. Exam misconduct erodes confidence in both OneStream programs and your skills as a certified IT professional and can lead to security and liability risks for your customers and/or employer.

To confidentially report suspected cases of misconduct, please contact the Certification team by submitting a case form on the ServiceNow Support Portal.

Score Reporting

OneStream certification exams are designed to determine if a candidate’s overall ability in a specific area either meets or exceeds what has been defined as minimal competency. Each exam item, whether multiple-choice or performance-based, contributes to that determination. Regardless of how high or low a candidate scores on an exam, only one valid conclusion can be made: the candidate either does or does not possess the minimally-acceptable knowledge, skills, and abilities for the content covered by the exam. Since the only meaningful and valid inference that can be made is a pass or fail decision, that is the only information that is reported.

Retaking an Exam

If you fail an exam on your first attempt, you must wait at least 3 days (72 hours) before a second attempt. If you do not pass an exam on your second attempt, then you must wait at least 2 weeks (14 days) between each additional attempt. Candidates will be allowed a maximum of four (4) exam attempts within a 12-month period. If you need to retake an exam that you have already passed in order to fulfill a certification track requirement, you may do so after 20 months. The exam retake fee is $300, regardless of the number of exam attempts. Beta exam test takers can only take the beta once, after which they will need to wait to retake the production exam when that certification exam becomes generally available.
