Finance is at a critical crossroads as our Finance 2035: Return to Investment proprietary research makes abundantly clear. Per findings, 68% of chief financial officers (CFOs) believe companies that don’t invest now in technology, infrastructure, and skills won’t survive the next five years.
With that sobering insight in mind, we hosted 574 attendees from 31 countries at Splash EMEA to explore the future of finance. Attendees were joined by customers, prospects, and partners, which offered opportunities to network, learn, and discover solutions designed to help finance leaders navigate uncertainty. After the conference, participants left energized, inspired, and ready to celebrate what it truly means to Take Finance Further.
Below, you’ll discover what finance leaders loved at Splash EMEA.
The Crowd Favorite: Finance AI
During the keynote, no other product announcement, panel, or networking event stole the show quite like Finance AI. Our research suggests that the reaction shouldn’t be surprising: 75% of CFOs are leading their organizations’ AI strategy. That’s more CFOs than chief technology officers (CTOs), chief information officers (CIOs), or even chief executive officers (CEOs).
Still, the talk on Finance AI was one of those moments where the crowd’s electricity charged the conference — something you’d have to be there in person to experience.
What was getting everyone so revved up? The SensibleAI™ portfolio. It’s a transformative suite of native AI capabilities designed specifically for finance teams using OneStream. The foundation rests on three powerful pillars:
- Quantitative AI: Does the math — powering predictive planning via high-accuracy forecasts using machine-learning (ML) time-series models.
- Generative AI: Explains the math — providing narrative insights, commentary, and transparency into how forecasts are built.
- Agentic AI: Applies the math — using intelligent autonomous agents that retrieve data, generate reports, and execute tasks on behalf of finance teams.
OneStream’s Plug & Play Architecture and platform extensibility also attracted applause. The Genesis framework is OneStream’s new plug-and-play architecture that simplifies deployment, personalization, and innovation. The framework consists of the following:
- Plug & Play Designer: A no-code, click-to-configure interface for building dashboards, workflows, and templates.
- Content Blocks: Reusable micro-functionality modules — such as dashboards, artificial intelligence (AI) routines, and connectors — that can be snapped together to create tailored solutions.
- Content Block Library: A growing catalog of over 70 blocks, including new additions for advanced dashboards, Agile Financial Analytics (AFA), and connectors for Tableau and PowerBI.
Operational analytics enable frictionless functionality and rapid time-to-value, allowing CFOs to activate new capabilities without adding technical debt.
At OneStream, platform extensibility is nothing new, but its application is more salient today with OneStream’s powerful new capabilities. OneStream’s platform is “infinitely extensible,” meaning finance teams can continually expand its use without the burden of integrating new systems. Since all solutions share a unified data model, metadata, and security layer, any new capabilities can be seamlessly deployed.
This extensibility ensures that, as business needs evolve, finance teams can scale smarter, activating new solutions quickly and confidently.
7 Innovation Announcements That Stole the Show
Extensible dimensionality doesn’t stop with OneStream’s existing suite of solutions. Instead, the dimensionality applies to the whole host of new capabilities announced at Splash EMEA. Let’s go through them one by one.
1. SensibleAI Forecast Value Add
OneStream announced a new generative capability within SensibleAI Forecast: Forecast Value Add.
This feature empowers finance teams to slice and dice forecast scenarios and actuals by any time granularity — daily through yearly — and any dimensionality. For example, with the latter, teams can slice and dice based on geographic locations, product lines, or business units. The feature delivers instant insights into key accuracy and performance metrics such as variance, accuracy, and bias for financial and operational data.
In plain English, Forecast Value Add gives finance teams confidence that they have the best forecast and provides a vital lever for driving continuous improvements. The feature is built atop dynamic cube services and unifies predictive analytics, validates results against trusted benchmarks, and auto-generates visualizations — all in a single solution.
This capability is now generally available, delivering greater insights, efficiency, and outcomes for organizations.
2. SensibleAI Benchmarking & Outlier Analysis (Available as a Content Block)
OneStream unveiled the Benchmarking & Outlier Analysis solution to illustrate the power of SensibleAI Studio. Within one month of launching SensibleAI Studio, a large healthcare services company used anomaly detection and clustering routines to create intelligent, peer-specific benchmarks. These features also helped the company drive targeted operational improvements.
This AI-powered solution does the following:
- Surfaces cost patterns that differentiate top-performing locations
- Enforces proactive overspend prevention
- Flags offices at financial risk before issues appear in month-end reports
- Provides insights that can inform acquisition decisions
Now generally available as a packaged and reusable Plug & Play content block, SensibleAI Benchmarking & Outlier Analysis can be easily deployed within the OneStream environment.
3. SensibleAI Agents (Finance Analyst, Operations Analyst, Search, Deep Analysis) (Limited Access)
OneStream’s SensibleAI Agents represent a transformational leap for finance teams. Below, the intelligent, autonomous AI co-workers purpose-built for finance are explained:
- Finance Analyst: Chat with the financial model; retrieve numbers, graphs, and charts; and answer pressing questions using natural language.
- Operations Analyst: Interrogate dynamic and operational data to keep up with changing drivers and assess business impact.
- Search Agent: Reliably interpret corporate documentation, answer common questions, and improve organizational knowledge assets.
- Deep Analysis Agent: Solve sophisticated, multi-level problems, search across huge volumes of data, identify anomalies and correlations, and provide recommendations for mitigating risks.
These agents are transparent, financially intelligent, and secure. By augmenting the finance team, the agents help finance get the right answers quicker and focus on more strategic work.
SensibleAI Agents are available for limited access.
4. Modern Financial Close (Consolidation, Reporting, AI Account Recs, TxM Volumes (New), Journal Entry Manager (New))
The modern close is a digitally enabled, exception-driven approach to financial close and consolidation, designed for organizations operating in complex, fast-moving environments. Powered by unified platforms and advanced technologies (e.g., AI, ML, robust workflow automation), the modern close transforms the close. How? The close transforms from a reactive, manual process into a proactive, strategic function.
The modern close also doesn’t require waiting for the end of the period. Instead, finance can surface anomalies and exceptions daily, automate reconciliations and transaction matching, and route journals for approval and posting. And finance can do these things as part of the ongoing flow.
Here are just some of the benefits of the modern close:
- Faster cycle times that enable timely, data-driven decisions for leadership and the board.
- Reduced risk of errors through automated reconciliations, audit trails, and real-time data validation.
- Greater transparency and control across multiple entities, currencies, and reporting standards.
- Continuous close that leads to enhanced agility to respond quickly to regulatory changes, market shifts, and internal demands.
- Empowered finance teams who can shift focus from manual tasks to strategic analysis and business partnering.
- Unified platforms that leverage data from multiple sources to surface anomalies and exceptions to match, reconcile, and adjust on demand.
Ultimately, the modern close positions finance as a proactive, value-adding function —capable of supporting growth, compliance, and innovation. The modern close also keeps finance leaders ready to guide the enterprise with confidence.
OneStream is powering the modern close with a host of robust new capabilities:
- AI-Powered Account Reconciliations: Streamlines workflows for comparing volumes of financial records, automatically identifies anomalies, and speeds reconciliation with minimal manual intervention.
- Transaction Matching Volumes (TxM Volumes): Automates matching of large transaction sets, reducing manual effort and errors.
- Journal Entry Manager (JEM): Automates creation, validation, and posting of journal entries, with comprehensive audit trails for compliance. These enhancements enable finance teams to modernize the close, minimize errors, prevent fraud, and drive massive improvements in productivity.
5. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Reporting and Planning Enhancements
OneStream continues to invest in and innovate for finance-led ESG. The latest release brings together core ESG reporting, Operational Analytics, and AI-powered forecasting and agents. Now, finance teams can do the following:
- Unify ESG data collection, planning, and compliance
- Link ESG actions to financial records
- Use AI for dynamic scenario modeling and reporting
The new “Integrated ESG” solution is financially intelligent, dynamic, and predictive. As a result, finance can take a more strategic role in steering and predicting ESG performance as market demands and drivers change. This generally available release is the third major one since June, reflecting rapid innovation and customer feedback.
6. OneStream IFRS Express
OneStream announced the general availability of IFRS Express, a rapid deployment offering for companies needing to comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
IFRS Express includes a robust consolidation engine, pre-mapped cash flow capabilities, and out-of-the-box forms for statutory reporting. By packaging decades of best practices into one solution, finance can get up and reporting to IFRS standards in as little as eight to 12 weeks. This capability enables finance teams to streamline close and reporting processes, ensuring compliance and accelerating time to value.
7. 10 New Content Blocks — Advanced Dashboard, Operational Analytics, AI, and Tableau Connector (General Access)
OneStream introduced 10 new Content blocks, including advanced dashboard layouts, Operational Analytics blocks, AI-enhanced features, and new connector blocks for PowerBI and Tableau.
These plug-and-play modules allow finance teams to rapidly deploy new capabilities, visualize data, and integrate with other platforms — without adding technical debt.
Platform Power & Usability Enhancements
OneStream’s latest platform release, Version 9, delivers significant upgrades in performance, scalability, and predictability across the entire portfolio. These enhancements are designed to help finance teams automate and streamline core processes (e.g., close, reporting, compliance), freeing time to focus on strategic initiatives.
With this version, organizations can expect faster data processing, improved analytics responsiveness, and more robust support for large-scale enterprise deployments.
